Distributed Knowledge Management is a new paradigm that aims to replace centralized structures in the process of knowledge management with decentralized ones. This enables oragnizations and individuals to structure their information locally, according to their needs. Still they profit from the knowledge of other users. The discovery of tacit knowledge and intelligent mediation play an important role in this process. For both, Data Mining is a key approach.
